These terms and conditions apply between you (client) and Marcelo Marques (coach). Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as they affect your legal rights. By accessing this website and booking a session via this website (in case via telephone or e-mail), you confirm to have read and understood as well as acknowledged and agree with the Terms and Conditions below:

You must be at least 18 years of age and by agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

1. Coaching: Coaching is a partnership (not a legal business) between client and coach. You understand and agree that coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis if needed, and does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders. If you feel being affected by any mental disorder (or, and in particular, any suicidal thoughts) or are in doubt please seek a therapist or medical professional as soon as possible. You understand and acknowledge that it is your responsibility to make your own decisions regarding your physical, mental and emotional well-being and that you are solely responsible for the consequences thereof. 

You acknowledge and agree that Marcelo Marques is not a licensed therapist, medical professional, or financial or legal advisor, and that these services are for general guidance and coaching purposes only. As such, you agree that the coach is not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided.

2: Confidentiality: This coaching relationship, as well as all information provided (in whichever form) is strictly private and confidential. However, please be aware that the coach-client relationship is not considered a legally confidential relationship (like the medical and legal professions) and thus communications are not subject to the protection of any legally recognized privilege. The coach will not disclose any of the information unless he is (a) required by law or (b) reasonably believing there to be an imminent or likely risk of danger or harm to the client or others and/or any illegal activity.

You acknowledge and agree that the coach is required to record and retain documents, information and data acquired or shared during the term of the Agreement for professional, book-keeping and administrative reasons in a format and for period of his choice. As the coach engages in continuous training and education pursuing and/or maintaining further credentials it is required to keep the names and contact information of all clients for possible verification by the relevant institutions for the sole and necessary purpose of verifying the coaching relationship, no personal notes will be shared.

3. Termination:
You or the coach may terminate this Agreement at any time with two (2) weeks prior written notice. You agree to compensate the coach for all coaching services rendered through and including the effective date of termination of the coaching relationship. 

4. Session/ Booking / Payment
All sessions are structed as a one-to-one coaching. If you are interested in couple or group coaching, please contact Marcelo via the website. The duration of each session is at the discretion of the coach but should last about 45 minutes. If deemed appropriate, the coach may end earlier or extend a session, with no change to the fee.

All booking and payment are to be made through the website unless otherwise agreed and payments are due in advance of the scheduled session and are non-refundable. You may book single sessions individually or a course of multiple sessions in advance. For possible discounts please contact Marcelo via the website. 

5. Rescheduling/ Cancellation Policy:
Any appointment cancellation or request for rescheduling must be made via email and received by the coach no less than forty eighty-(48) working hours in advance of the scheduled session. The coach reserves the right to bill the client for a missed meeting. However, the coach will attempt in good faith to reschedule any missed sessions.

6. Liability
While the coach strives to provide the best service possible, a specific outcome cannot be guaranteed for each client. Results may vary, and the coach does not offer refunds or guarantees for the success of coaching sessions. Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, the coach makes no guarantees, representations or warranties of any kind or nature, express or implied with respect to the coaching services provided. In no event shall the coach be liable to the client or any third party for any indirect, consequential or special damages or loss. Notwithstanding the coach’s entire liability under this Agreement, and the client’s exclusive remedy, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the client to the coach under this Agreement for all coaching services rendered through and including the termination date. 

7. Miscellaneous:
This website may contain links to external websites for your convenience. The coach is not responsible for the content, goods, or services provided by these external websites and does not endorse or warrant the accuracy of any information provided on external sites. While the coach strives to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on this website, he does not guarantee its correctness and excludes any liability for any actions taken based on the information provided on this website. This website and all material thereon are protected by intellectual property rights owned by or validly licensed to Marcelo Marques.

This document reflects the entire agreement between the coach and the client with respect to the subject matter and supersedes all prior written and/or oral representations and may not be amended, altered or supplemented except in writing.

This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
